​The University of Tübingen, the Babes-Bolyai University and Eötvös Loránd University organize a joint Summer Academy from 2016 till 2018.The Summer Academy examines the history of the Central-European region in 3 different era of the history from the 19th century till nowadays. Führung durch die Ausstellung "Fließende Räume. Karten des Donauraums 1650-1800" durch den Kurator der Ausstellung, Josef Wolf

Fließende Räume. Karten des Donauraums 1650-1800 Das Generallandesarchiv Karlsruhe und das Institut für donauschwäbische Geschichte und Landeskunde, Tübingen, präsentieren vom 5. Juli bis 27. Oktober 2017 die Ausstellung Fließende Räume. Karten des Donauraums 1650-1800. Die Schau zeigt vielfach erstmals ausgestellte Karten des Generallandesarchivs aus der Zeit der Türkenkriege und der habsburgischen Eroberung Südosteuropas, vor allem aus der Zeit des 'Türkenlouis', des Markgrafen Ludwig Wilhelm von Baden-Baden. Die Ausstellung lädt dazu ein, ein Stück „unbekanntes Europa“ zu entdecken. Denn Südosteuropa war nicht nur militärisch umkämpft, es wurde seit dem 18. Jahrhundert für viele Auswanderer aus Südwestdeutschland zu einer neuen Heimat. Landkarten schufen dabei durch ihre Bildwelten einen gemeinsamen europäischen Erfahrungsraum.

Begleitveranstaltung zur Ausstellung "Fließende Räume": Vortrag Dr. Olivia Spiridon: Brückenarmer Fluss. Literarische Überquerungen entlang der Donau

Das Generallandesarchiv Karlsruhe und das Institut für donauschwäbische Geschichte und Landeskunde, Tübingen, laden am Donnerstag, den 21. September 2017, um 18 Uhr zu einer szenischen Lesung der besonderen Art ein. Die Tübinger Literaturwissenschaftlerin Dr. Olivia Spiridon baut in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Badischen Staatstheater literarische Brücken über die Donau – in einer Region, in der Brückenschläge oftmals militärischen Zwecken dienten und seltener literarischen Annäherungen. Gerade deshalb sind schöpferische Kontaktaufnahmen heute mindestens so wichtig wie in früheren Zeiten.
