Library
In accordance with its founding mandate, the institute developed a continuously expanding and in Germany as well as abroad well known specialist library. The library can rely on a network of contacts expanded over time in Germany, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Hungary. The book fund of the institute was step by step included in the disciplinary-specific library and literature portals.
Further more the documentation service includes an archive which mainly consist of estate records and several continuously and systematically expanding collections (maps, photographs, posters, postcards).
Library
The institute has a public special library with around 40,000 media units.
The collection focuses on literature on the research areas of the institute, reference works, specialist lexicons, regional literature, local monographs and literature on the integration of refugees and displaced persons in Germany.
