Spring School 2024 - Danube Ports: History, Architecture, People

Veröffentlicht am 28 Mar 2024

Within the framework of the student seminar, 20 students from the countries along the Danube will explore the concept of the Danube and its function in shaping space. The thematic approach is based on the Danube ports, which, with their infrastructures such as quays and warehouses as well as social spaces such as residential and administrative buildings and restaurants, make economic, technical and political characteristics visible and can also provide insights into the culture and interaction of travelers, port workers and other people in the cities and regions. The Spring School is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Foundation and organized as an interdisciplinary seminar by the Institute of Danube Swabian History and Regional Studies, the Hungarian National Archives in Budapest and the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. Seminar languages are German and English.
